Infection or injection – for some, it’s no longer an issue; for others, everything has been different ever since. Two of them are on stage today to talk about it.

Anyone hoping this will be a gruelling evening is in for a bitter disappointment: actresses Felicia Binger and Christine Prayon may have as many symptoms between them as Karl Lauterbach has TV appearances, but they still work a treat as clowns.

They can still read, too: Prayon’s new book ‘Abwesenheitsnotiz’ is a fictional account of Long Covid and Long Vaccination, and the question of who or what is actually ill.

And if the two of them don’t forget to take their high-dose vitamins during the interval, there’ll be a lovely discussion in the second half as well. Face to face. With each other. Perhaps even with everyone.

For everyone who also has some sort of Long Something-or-other and thinks they’re alone in it. Or rather, for everyone who just wants to endure the madness of these times with humour. Presented by mRNA-Entertainment.

Felicia Binger is an actress and activist. This is where one would normally list the awards and films that followed the promising start to her acting career. However, in May 2021, at the age of 27, she received a COVID-19 vaccine and fell seriously ill as a result. She eventually went public with her illness, against the well-meaning advice of her management and casting agents. This was followed by numerous press and media reports on the matter. Since then, she has been fighting against the stigma and for the care of those affected who are suffering from long COVID.

Christine Prayon is a cabaret artist and actress. She has received numerous awards for her stage shows, including the German Cabaret Award and the Dieter Hildebrandt Prize. From 2011 to 2022, she appeared regularly on the ZDF heute-show as ‘Birte Schneider’. Since being vaccinated against and contracting you-know-what, she has not been symptom-free for a single day.

Prayon’s new book ‘Abwesenheitsnotiz’ was published by Westend Verlag on 12 February 2024.
