In the fall of 2022, four outstanding artists came together under the name Quartett am Ende der Zeit (Quartet at the End of Time). Their mission: to transcend boundaries, forge connections, and create new worlds of sound.
What happens when these versatile talents come together?
An Austrian violinist with Japanese roots who effortlessly switches between violin, viola, and the rare violoncello da spalla, contributing her “multi-stringed” expertise.
A world-renowned saxophonist who masterfully commands the soprano to baritone range with his virtuoso sounds and original compositions.
A cosmopolitan pianist who shines with stylistic versatility and a subtle sound culture between classical and jazz, thrilling audiences with his virtuoso expressiveness.
A chamber musician with Hungarian roots who brings the tuba and cimbasso to life, breaking new ground in concert design.
The answer is a unique program that they themselves describe as “symphonic chamber jazz.” Here, original compositions merge with innovative arrangements of well-known works from classical and popular music. The repertoire ranges from J.S. Bach and Astor Piazzolla to Béla Bartók and Johann Pachelbel to contemporary works by Etienne Crausaz and the ensemble members’ own compositions.
With passion, curiosity, and the shared breath of music, the quartet builds a bridge between baroque and beatbox, between classical music and jazz improvisation. An experience full of emotion, joy of playing, and artistic dedication that you can experience up close.

Infection or injection—for some, it’s no longer an issue, but for others, everything has changed since then. Two of them are on stage today to talk about it.
Anyone hoping for a strenuous evening will be bitterly disappointed: actresses Felicia Binger and Christine Prayon may have as many symptoms as Karl Lauterbach has television appearances, but they still work great as clowns.
They can still read: Prayon’s new book “Abwesenheitsnotiz” (Out of Office Message) is a fictional factual account of Long Covid and Long Vaccination and the question of who or what is actually sick.
And if the two of them don’t forget to take their high-dose vitamins during the break, there will also be a lively discussion in the second half. Analog. Together. Maybe even with everyone.
For everyone who has some kind of long ding-a-ling and thinks they’re alone in this. Or rather, for everyone who wants to endure the madness of these times with humor. Presented by mRNA Entertainment.
Felicia Binger is an actress and activist. At this point, we would normally list the awards and films that followed the promising start of her acting career. However, in May 2021, at the age of 27, she got vaccinated against COVID-19 and became seriously ill as a result. She ultimately went public with her illness against the well-intentioned advice of her management and casting agents. This was followed by numerous press and media reports. Since then, she has been fighting against stigmatization and for the care of those affected who are long-term helpless.
Christine Prayon is a cabaret artist and actress. She has received numerous awards for her stage performances, including the German Cabaret Award and the Dieter Hildebrandt Prize. From 2011 to 2022, she appeared regularly as “Birte Schneider” on ZDF’s heute-show. Since being vaccinated against and infected with you-know-what, she has not been symptom-free for a single day.
Prayon’s new book “Abwesenheitsnotiz” was published by Westend Verlag on February 12, 2024.
